Details have emerged about the upcoming implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage, with states set to start paying it in October.
As the 31st October deadline of implementing N70,000 as the minimum wage draws closer, many states in Nigeria are racing against time to tie up loose ends. Most states have managed to negotiate and conclude discussions with labor unions regarding the wage bill while in others, the process of actually implementing it is still awaiting a conclusion. To date, only Edo and Adamawa are however currently disbursing the new minimum wage to the lowest ladder earners in their respective states.

Bishop David Oyedepo Jr., son of the Living Faith Church's General Overseer, personally recognized the retirements of Bishops Abioye and Aremu and congratulated them. He commended their commitment and accomplishments during their stay in the church and wished for their future success. Oyedepo Jr. expressed optimism that these bishops have a lot more in store; that the best is yet to come.
