Details have emerged about the upcoming implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage, with states set to start paying it in October.

As the 31st October deadline of implementing N70,000 as the minimum wage draws closer, many states in Nigeria are racing against time to tie up loose ends. Most states have managed to negotiate and conclude discussions with labor unions regarding the wage bill while in others, the process of actually implementing it is still awaiting a conclusion.
