Governor Fubara believes that the problems in Rivers State could potentially endanger Nigeria's stability.
Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara urged the defense and security agencies to ensure that political violence do not force the country to lose its current gains in oil production. The call came after arson attacks by political thugs on the secretariats of two local government areas. He insisted that he would crack down on the political thugs and restore peace in the state, saying increased oil production was one sure way of addressing pipeline vandalism.
