A violent altercation believed to be linked to cult activity resulted in the deaths of six individuals near the UNIZIK school gate. Police authorities are responding to the incident.
Shooting broke out at open air Thursday, the 24th, October, outside the school gate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. According to reports, suspected cult members shot indiscriminately at a gathering in the Ifite-Awka neighbourhood, resulting in the deaths of six people. The killings sparked panic amongst the members of the university community and the residents.
