A POS agent in Delta State faces legal consequences after unknowingly aiding in the payment of a N4 million ransom to kidnappers.
It was revealed that a female POS operator in Delta State had played an unsuspecting role in an undisclosed amount paid as ransom to kidnappers. The unsuspecting woman received N4 million on behalf of kidnappers but was innocent of the criminal activity. The prime suspect, who gave her the account details, was a regular customer. In this regard, the police warned POS operators against receiving large transactions, especially those that surpassed N500,000.
