Senator advocates for the inclusion of agricultural studies in the school curriculum.

The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Saliu Mustapha, urged the Federal Government to make agriculture studies compulsory in every secondary school in Nigeria. He called for practical and technology-driven agricultural education to revive interest in farming among young people. Mustapha harped on the fact that agriculture needs to be regarded as a business venture that is profitable. He stressed that practical agriculture education was what was needed if Nigeria were to get out of the woods of food insecurity.
